A Gift in Your Will
“The need to leave a legacy is our spiritual need to have a sense of meaning, purpose, personal congruence, and contribution.”—Stephen R. Covey
A gift in your Will, sometimes referred to as a bequest or legacy gift, is a way for you to ensure that the causes you care deeply about are supported in the future.
If helping children with disabilities and health challenges is something you care about, once you have looked after your loved ones in your Will, why not consider including a gift to Children’s Health Foundation of Vancouver Island? Your estate will receive a tax receipt for the value of your gift which can reduce the income tax payable on your estate.
When creating your legacy, a gift to Children’s Health Foundation of Vancouver Island can take several forms, for example:
- A Charitable Bequest
- A Gift of Securities (shares, stocks, mututal funds, etc)
- A Gift of Life Insurance
- Charitable Remainder Trusts
- A Gift from Retirement Plans (RRSPs or RRIFs)
- Property & Other Gifts.
For more information about the many benefits of designating Children’s Health Foundation of Vancouver Island as a beneficiary in your Will, read our brochure, You Give Children Hope. Or, if you prefer to receive a copy in the mail, please email Jessica Bell or phone 250-519-6721.
